You'd never walk all the way to your TV to turn it on and you shouldn't have to with your wireless speaker either. I can definitely recommend it.Control the party from afar and unlock an expanding set of cool features. The Roll 2's dome shape seems to allow the sound to eminate in all directions, which is especially nice when you're outdoors, I didn't need to angle it or anything. I didnt however like that the jack and charge rubber cove r was flimsy, and could easily come open. I really never tested the waterproofing, but I felt confident in the product's reputation that it could take a dip, spill or splash without worry. It doesn't have awesome bass, but considering it is sealed for waterproof sake, maybe that's why. It gets loud without getting distorted, which most of the others I've tried do sound awful at high volume. The way Roll 2 can bungee to just about anything, it's perfect. JBL Clip series was pretty good, and I found I enjoyed Clip 2 better because the 'clip' had a smaller form factor than the 3, for my use.

Some are hot trash, like anything I bought under the $50 mark. I've owned a handful of other bt wireless speakers. I was really impressed with the sound quality from this portable speaker.
